On to another week....

This week has been rather uneventful, despite the fact that one of the girls now looks like a Cabbage Patch Kid with chicken pox...it is likely that he sore throat from last week has now turned into Scarlet Fever (I thought that disease was left on the Oregon Trail!) but her symptoms may be some sort of reaction also. Either way, the poor kid is covered in hives and stuck in cabins here in the WY wilderness. I guess we'll get to see the real her! I guess there is nothing anyone can do but she just has to take antibiotics and wait it out. I swear these girls have some of the worst immunity systems. They wrecked such havoc on their bodies that they just seem to have little resistance.

The other exciting part of the week was that there was a pack of coyotes RIGHT outside the cabins. They were like 20 feet away and definitely discouraged me from getting up to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night! It certainly keeps things interesting. They have killed no animals yet...we have had some chickens turning up dead but turns out the Shitzus were the cause of that (have I mentioned I really don't like small dogs that love eating poop and barking like crazy at the animals so they think they are tough?!?!)

The evenings are cooling down quite a bit, which is really nice. I love being able to go on an evening run and not be dying of heat! Sure makes sleeping a lot better too. I am still looking forward to snow, but am trying to take advantage of the summer activities while the weather allows it. This summer is FLYING by!
