Today for the first time I realized that I finally feel as though WY is home. I have my WY license and plates and feel as though something is right here besides just my job. Today I got to see some of the more beautiful parts of this area in Clark’s Fork Canyon. There is a rough road that goes all the way back starting about 3 miles from my house. One of the men that works at the boy’s ranch was gracious enough to let us borrow 2 4-wheelers and Scott (another staff at the boy’s ranch), Sarah and I went and spent the whole day back in the canyon. The views were breathtaking and I now have another reason to want a 4-wheeler (since I have now actually ridden one without driving through the garage door…don’t ask.) Sarah and I rode together and I am absolutely sure that riding is much more difficult than driving. ☺ We saw some people fly-fishing and we were all wishing we had rods and especially waders. However, we decided that waders were over-rated (though took back our words later) and when we could no longer go back any further in the canyon, we ditched the 4 wheelers, crossed the river (and got soaking wet- Wranglers are NOT good for wading!) and then continued on back further. Scott and I had the bright idea to roll down the black sand dunes AFTER we were already wet so I felt like I was at the beach (the part where you are full of sand) most of the day. However, the dunes were also present on the trail where we could ride the 4-wheelers and that was very fun. What a great day!

i can't wait until you are here in a week and a half!!!!!
Amelia: I, too, believe that waders are over-rated. I went fly fishing in Nebraska and would just wade in in my jeans...very "River Runs Through It." Much more organic.
We should fish together if we are ever in the same place. I might be driving to Nebraska this summer, so I could stop by WY for some casting! Or, we could meet up in Yellowstone and fish there!
Hope all is well,
Liz
