Enjoying the days off

Well it has been a very long week. We got a new girl and I just don't sleep well and wake up to check on everyone often. I guess it is good for them to at least think we sleep lightly, but I am sooo ready for a day off by the time it comes to Thursday. We now have alarms on the cabins which I am thankful for. It is hard to explain everything, but these girls know how to manipulate and do so with ease at times. I think the hardest thing to get used to about this job is not being able to ever trust them (even when you want to.) However, I continue to love the challenges and the daily ups and downs!

We do have time for reading and writing on the ranch usually so I have been reading some great books that the ranch has.
So far, here are my recommendations both by Francine Rivers:
The Atonment Child- very much a pro life book -GREAT!!!!
