The Harley Hoodlums (AKA "Mom and Dad" come to town!)

After an exciting (better known as "challenging") week at the ranch it was refreshing to come home and have Mom and Dad, along with Mitch and Lisa, take a stop on their Harley tour to visit! I pity them on those motorcycles. Not only is it over 100 degrees, but the Harley makes its own heat and you can't help but be completely frying most of the day. Mitch and Lisa headed on to visit Lisa's brother, but Mom and Dad got to spend the night with me. It was rare to have the staff house to myself so I was glad for some company (they camped out in the living room.) They got to see the ranch and meet the girls. It was hilarious to see one of the girls who was throwing a fit about something little completely change her attitude and suddenly be ok with the company. My two girls were like, "that's MY advisor's parents!!!" It was cute and fun to be able to show MY family where my life is now! They were also introduced to the shitzus (I really have no idea how to spell that) and the puppies that are actually pretty cute (the parents are U-G-L-Y!!!) I am convinced that Star Wars used those dogs as inspiration for some of their characters. Any one have a guess which ones? We headed to Red Lodge (I can't wait for winter and SNOW there!) for dinner and good company. This morning I got my first ride on Dad's Harley (he was quite proud) and Mom drove my car for me into Powell where we all had breakfast and Dad fixed my cigarette lighter on my car (YES YES YES!!!!) and then they headed out! It was so nice to have company and see family! Greg and Matt- you are next!!! :) This will be a short week and then I head to Washington again (I am already looking forward to smelling the vegetation) for Kristine and Mike's wedding, a visit to Boundry Bay and quite possibly some NERTS!
